60,000 Poultry to Be Culled in West Bengal

Around 27,000 birds have been culled after the most recent bird flu outbreak in the West Bengal district of India, with the number expected to rise to around 60,000 when operations are completed. The latest cull comes as Bird Flu continues to spread across Eastern India, with over 100,000 birds culled at the end of last year in the Assam district, and neighbours Nepal and Bangladesh on heightened alert.
